In honor of Costa Rica opening her borders to all U.S. travelers on November 1, I'm sharing a sample Costa Rica itinerary!
Home to the phrase “Pura Vida” (pure life), Costa Rica is a traveler’s dream destination. Day 1 – Fly into Costa Rica. After collecting your bags, you will exit the airport and meet your driver, who will have a cold bottle of mineral water for you. Ride in an air-conditioned vehicle to Monteverde, where you will spend the first two nights of your stay.
Resort: Hotel Belmar This luxurious boutique hotel, nestled in the cloud forest in the mountaintops of Monteverde, offers guests truly unique experiences full of natural wonder, elegance, and warm friendly service. Day 2 – Breakfast at the Restaurante Celajes, featuring splendid balconies overlooking the Pacific Ocean and offering inventive farm-to-table dishes inspired by Costa Rican cuisine.
Today’s activities include a yoga class and a variety of other services, including Spa, Juice Bar, and Tea Room. Led by a professional naturalist guide, take a 3.5-hour guided walk through the beautiful trails of the primary forests of Curi-Cancha Wildlife Refuge. A great opportunity for wildlife spotting!
Day 3 – Breakfast at the Restaurante Celajes. Your driver takes you to Nosara, where you will spend the next three nights in beachfront accommodations.
Hotel: Moana Surf Just steps from the sand, this resort is run by Israeli expats who live onsite and welcome you like family. A place where spectacular sunsets and great surf meet year-round.
Day 4 – Start your day with breakfast at the Moana Kalma. Your buffet breakfast celebration includes fresh fruit, eggs and omelettes made to order, hash browns, breakfast meats, selection of cheeses, gallo pinto, bread and pastries, smoothies, tea and coffee.
Today’s activities include a yoga class, massage, Spanish lessons, and an exclusive wellness travel guide.
Day 5 – After breakfasting at the Moana Kalma, your activities include a stand up paddle board lesson or surf lesson. Continue your Spanish lessons, and enjoy a yoga class.
Day 6 – Breakfast at the Moana Kalma. Your driver takes you to your final destination, the beautiful Papagayo area, where you will stay 2 nights.
Hotel: El Mangroove
Set amid 15 acres of beachfront mangrove trees, this property has a stunning natural setting and a secluded feel. Spacious suites include plush beds and spa-like bathrooms. Each suite offers a balcony with a hammock for the ultimate in relaxation.
Today’s activities include exploring the Papagayo area’s Santa Rosa National Park.
Day 7 - Breakfast at the Makoko Restaurant, overlooking Playa Panama and the Gulf of Payagayo. The restaurant offers a distinct menu filled with Costa Rican favorites, exciting flavors and refreshing beverages.
Today’s activities include a massage at the incredible Bearth Spa, and enjoying the local sites in a private boat tour. Have a farewell dinner at Matiss, the open-air restaurant with breathtaking views and incredible cuisine.
Day 8 – Breakfast at the Makoko Restaurant. Your driver takes you back to the airport for your flight home.
Requirements to enter Costa Rica right now:
· Fill out a Health Pass form (I’ll send you a link to the website)
· Supply a negative Covid test, with the test being taken within 72 hours of traveling
· Provide proof of travel medical insurance (I’ll go over the details with you when booking your trip)
